Horses by Winje is a horse-training business based in Aalestrup, North Jutland, led by professional trainer and rider Aleksander Opheim-Winje. With more than 15 years of experience and a five-year riding apprenticeship under trainer Nikolai Kowalski, Aleksander offers services designed to help each horse and rider reach their potential. These include starting young horses under saddle, riding and training, dressage instruction, and horses for sale.
Training is tailored to each horse’s strengths, needs, and temperament, with balance and the horse’s welfare at its core. The business also works closely with owners, emphasizing honest communication and trust. Horses are accommodated in large, bright stalls and have daily turnout in paddocks, with indoor and outdoor training facilities and access to nearby riding routes.
Aleksander’s experience includes preparing horses for inspections, performance testing, and saddle assessments, as well as competing and training horses in dressage and show jumping. Horses by Winje shares information about its approach, facilities, services, prices, and equestrian training through its website and blog
