Horses R Us Nz is an equine-supported learning and therapy provider based in Tirohanga, Taupo, New Zealand. Its work is centered on helping individuals, couples, groups and families connect, explore, learn and grow through interactions with horses. The organisation aims to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where people can feel understood and make progress in ways that suit their needs.
Programmes are built around each learner, with a focus on flexible support rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Horses R Us Nz offers equine-assisted therapy and learning, riding lessons, and assistance with horse floating problems. Its team is trained in the Eagala Model and Horse Powered Reading. The organisation also highlights support for children experiencing learning concerns, providing an alternative space where development can be experienced rather than simply graded.
People interested in working with the team can arrange an initial conversation with Nik, then visit the property to meet the people and horses and explore possible programmes. Horses R Us Nz is located at 251 Pokuru Road, Tirohanga, Taupo.
