Horten Sk

Horten Svømmeklubb is a swimming club in Horten, Norway, offering activities for children, young people and adults at different experience and ability levels. Its stated values are energetic, goal-oriented, inclusive, curious and fun, and the club emphasizes making swimming accessible to children and young people regardless of level or challenges.

For beginners, instruction takes place in the municipality’s warm-water pools, with a high level of adult supervision in the water. The lightly advanced groups move to Horten Swimming Hall and increase to two weekly sessions. More experienced swimmers can progress through four ability groups, while the elite squad supports swimmers aiming for national junior and senior competition, including the Norwegian Championships. Elite participation is intended for swimmers aged 16 and over who bring strong motivation, effort and discipline.

The club also runs Masters swimming for people aged 25 or older, welcoming both former competitors and adults returning to the sport.
