Slovenian Hospice Society is a non-profit humanitarian organization that takes care for the people that are being diagnosed with a terminal disease in it's final stage. The society is based these six programmes: 1) Hospice home care, 2) Assistance for adults in grief, 3) Assistance for children and youth in grief, 4) Demolishing taboos related to transiency, and 5) Training and guiding volunteers for patient and bereavement assistance. We see the process of dying not as merely physical and material proces, but also a spiritual, psychological and social process that includes the family and loved ones.

About Slovenian Hospice Society
Welcome to the website of the Slovenian Hospice Association. Our organization is dedicated to providing compassionate support to those in need, including the chronically ill, the dying, their families, and grieving adults, children, and adolescents. On our website, you will find information about our free support programs, self-help resources, personal stories from our users, valuable experiences from our volunteers, and information about volunteering opportunities in our association.
We also offer educational programs for professional and personal development, short films on coping with dying and grieving, and a variety of blog articles.
