Hospice Dronten

Stichting Hospice Dronten supports people approaching the end of life and their loved ones, helping them say goodbye with calm, warmth and dignity. Based in Dronten, the foundation provides palliative and terminal care in its hospice and practical support at home. Its approach centres on each guest’s wishes and personal autonomy, with attention, companionship and a listening ear alongside care.

Hospice guests stay in warm, homelike rooms that can be personalised with their own belongings, and they choose their visiting times. For people who prefer to remain at home, volunteers offer temporary, additional support to ease the demands on family caregivers and give them more room to be partners, children or friends. The organisation also welcomes visitors for tours of the hospice and invites people to become volunteers, donate or support its work as a sponsor or friend.

More than 100 volunteers contribute to maintaining the quality of care. Hospice Dronten is preparing to move to a new location in Dronten, expanding from four rooms to six in response to growing demand
