Hospizarbeit Fidelius

Hospizarbeit Fidelius is a hospice and bereavement support organization serving people in Rotenburg (Wümme) and the surrounding area. Since 2006, it has worked to support people facing serious illness, dying and loss, with care centered on the needs of individuals and their families. Its services include an ambulatory hospice service for adults, offering companionship and support at home, in care facilities, hospitals and other settings, as well as a children’s and young people’s hospice service for families affected by a child’s serious illness.

Fidelius also provides bereavement support for adults, children and young people through individual assistance and group activities. These include a children’s grief group, a bereavement café, a grief meeting in Rotenburg, a café in Ottersberg and seasonal walks. The organization offers training and “Last Aid” courses, and invites volunteers to contribute their time. Support and counseling are free for those receiving care and their families; donations help sustain the services, particularly bereavement programs. Fidelius emphasizes listening, presence and practical support tailored to each person’s wishes and needs.
