Ecole de Surf

Hossegor Surf Club is a surf school and club based in Hossegor, in France’s Landes region, welcoming visitors throughout the year. Established in 1994, it combines surf instruction with a community atmosphere for people keen to learn, improve, and enjoy the ocean. Its experienced instructors offer group and private lessons for children and adults, from beginners to more advanced surfers, as well as multi-day courses and video coaching. Lessons use suitable equipment and are supervised with an emphasis on safe, structured progression. The club states that its services are certified and insured in accordance with French Surf Federation regulations and its Qualité Tourisme label.

Beyond surfing, Hossegor Surf Club offers stand-up paddle sessions on the ocean or the lake, equipment rental, and Odyssée Océan, a children’s programme introducing young participants to the ocean and board sports. Depending on conditions, activities may include surfing, bodyboarding, bodysurfing, and paddleboarding, while encouraging confidence in the water and awareness of the marine environment. The club also supports training and licensed members, and welcomes groups.
