Music City Hot Chicken Festival is an annual Nashville event celebrating the city’s signature hot chicken and bringing together residents and visitors for a free Fourth of July gathering in East Park. The festival’s 20th annual celebration is scheduled for July 4, 2026, from 11 a. m.
to 3 p. m., beginning with a fire truck parade at 10:30 a. m.
It features hot chicken from Nashville establishments, food and treats from local vendors, cold beer from Yazoo Brewery, and live performances by local bands. Visitors can also watch teams compete in an amateur hot chicken cooking competition and explore festival merchandise and other offerings. The event highlights the traditional combination of fried, seasoned chicken, white bread, and dill pickles that defines Nashville hot chicken.
Music City Hot Chicken Festival also welcomes vendors, sponsors, volunteers, and parade participants. All proceeds benefit Metro Parks & Recreation, which supports parks and community centers across Davidson County. The festival is an all-ages event, with identification required for beer purchases
