About House of Helsinki
House of Helsinki (HOH) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization based in Finland. Since its establishment in 2019, HOH has been dedicated to strengthening Finland's social sustainability. Their mission is to promote the social status, well-being, and participation of minorities, fostering an open and inclusive society.
HOH achieves this through various core activities. Firstly, they develop and innovate new operational models, programs, and projects that support minorities. These models are then disseminated and applied in different regions and communities.
Additionally, HOH encourages individuals to participate in volunteering and active engagement within society by organizing events and programs for volunteers. Collaboration with partners, including other organizations, authorities, and social actors, is a key aspect for HOH to achieve a shared vision and enhance the effectiveness of their actions. By organizing information campaigns, seminars, and training sessions, HOH raises awareness and understanding of the challenges and needs faced by minorities, helping to dispel prejudices and promote cultural diversity.
Furthermore, HOH actively engages in lobbying and influencing political decisions to improve the status of minorities within society. Overall, House of Helsinki is dedicated to making a difference and enabling people to leave their mark
