About Houston Health Dept
Houston Health is a comprehensive health department dedicated to addressing health inequities and providing a wide range of services to all residents of Houston. Our mission is to ensure the well-being of the community by promoting disease prevention, health equity, and public health preparedness. Our services cover a diverse range of areas, including birth and death certificates, community engagement through internships and volunteering, frontline training for naloxone use, health equity initiatives, community re-entry programs, data reporting, and public health preparedness.
We also offer programs and services specifically tailored to the needs of vulnerable populations, such as low-income mothers and children, the elderly, and minority communities.
