We opened in June 2011 with a mission to help customers achieve their goals while complying with the City’s regulations. About Houston Permit Cntr
Houston Permitting Center is a government organization that opened its doors in 2011. With over 600 City of Houston employees spread across six departments, their mission is to regulate construction activities, ensuring compliance with building codes and life safety standards. Additionally, they oversee businesses, issuing permits, licenses, and conducting inspections to safeguard public health and consumer safety.
The Permitting Center's structure is well-organized, and they have a detailed organizational chart available for further understanding. Situated in a historically significant location, the center also showcases noteworthy artwork. To enhance community involvement, the Houston Permitting Center has an advisory board, now appointed by Mayor Sylvester Turner, providing an opportunity for individuals to make a difference in areas where their expertise and commitment shine.
