Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas is a charitable nonprofit organization offering faith-based residential recovery programs for people affected by addiction and alcoholism. Founded in Texas in 1968, it is part of a worldwide network of Adult & Teen Challenge centers. The organization’s Houston-area Women’s Recovery Center is located in Alvin, Texas, where women can pursue a low-cost, year-long path toward recovery in a safe, structured setting.

Its approach combines biblical teaching, personal mentorship, supportive peer relationships, counseling, and practical life and job-skills training. The program aims to address underlying challenges, strengthen faith and confidence, and help participants build healthier lives and lasting sobriety. Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas also operates recovery programs for men, women, teens, and families at locations across the state, including programs for women with children and separate homes for boys and girls.
