Founded in 1996, Howe Sound Brewing is a beloved craft brewery located in the picturesque town of Squamish, BC, nestled in the heart of Sea to Sky Country. With the guidance of John Mitchell, known as the grandfather of micro-brewing, Howe Sound Brewing Co. The brewery has been recognized with awards at the Canadian Brewing Awards, North American Brewer's Awards, and BC Beer Awards.
The story of Howe Sound Brewing dates back even further to 1982 when John Mitchell and Frank Appleton pioneered one of North America's first modern craft breweries in Horseshoe Bay, overlooking the stunning Howe Sound. In 1996, John Mitchell helped design the Howe Sound Brewery, and his expertise as the first brewer resulted in the development of their initial flavors and recipes. Today, Howe Sound Brewing continues to brew in the craft style, offering a wide selection of ales, lagers, and stouts that are enjoyed at their Brewpub, across Canada, and beyond.
