Howscales Holiday Cottages offers four high-quality, dog-friendly self-catering cottages in the peaceful countryside of Cumbria’s Eden Valley. Set around a cobbled courtyard within the grounds of a former 17th-century working farm, Hazelrigg, Geltsdale, Ravendale and Inglewood combine original character with stylish décor and modern home comforts. Each cottage has its own enclosed garden, making the collection welcoming for guests travelling with dogs. Together, the cottages accommodate up to 15 people, providing options for family holidays, breaks with friends and romantic escapes.

Surrounded by gardens, woodland and tranquil pastures, Howscales is designed for guests seeking a relaxing rural retreat and time to reconnect. The cottages also make a convenient base for exploring the Eden Valley, the Lake District, the North Pennines, the Yorkshire Dales and Hadrian’s Wall. Howscales provides accommodation and guest information to help visitors plan their stay, with local suggestions for family outings, history and culture, outdoor activities, and food and drink. Guests can book a cottage for a countryside break in a scenic part of Cumbria.
