HPNL

Healesville to Phillip Island Nature Link (HPNL Inc) is an organisation focused on conserving land through outreach, restoration and research. Its vision is to create a bio-link of national significance, connecting three of Victoria’s well-known nature and ecotourism attractions—Healesville Sanctuary, Puffing Billy and Phillip Island Nature Parks—through natural corridors across public and private land. The initiative aims to help protect natural and cultural assets, including valued plants, animals and places.

HPNL also works on projects addressing the pressures facing Western Port and the coastal reserves of Tooradin. In collaboration with Monash Urban Lab, it has supported a multidisciplinary study proposing the Great Swamp Regenerative Park, which would protect and gradually transform a modified wetland complex. The plan also includes a community, environment and research centre in Tooradin, considering how land use may change over the next 200 years.

The organisation shares strategic plans, research and publications, and invites people to become partners or contributors, participate in its work, and learn about its advocacy and projects.
