About Hrad Loket
Hrad Loket is a medieval castle perched on a striking rock outcrop, surrounded by the Ohře River, making it the heart of the charming town of Loket. Nestled in the Slavkovský Les Protected Landscape Area, this historic site invites visitors to explore its impressive 26-meter high tower, offering panoramic views of the town square, baroque Holy Trinity column, historic burgher houses, and remnants of the castle walls.
Open daily from 9:00 to 18:30, Hrad Loket provides guided tours and engaging activities for families, including the creative "Art of the Quill" workshop for children, where young visitors can experience medieval scriptorium skills. The castle also hosts seasonal events, cultural activities, and even wedding services in its majestic halls. The upcoming Cultural and Creative Center project aims to revive traditional regional crafts, further enriching the cultural heritage of this remarkable castle.
