About Hillside Rural Activities Park
Hillside Rural Activities Park (HRAP) is a volunteer-run registered charity based in Knayton, near Thirsk, North Yorkshire. The 28-acre community site was purchased with the help of grants and legacies and includes an area owned by Hillside Scout Group. HRAP provides a permanent home for a range of local clubs and activities, including Knayton Football Club, Leake Cricket Club, Leake Tennis Club, Allerton Junior Athletics Club, Borrowby Show and North Yorkshire Soccer Academy.
Its facilities are available to hire for outdoor events, competitions and social functions. The Scout Hall, which has toilets, changing rooms and showers, can also be hired for sporting or social events directly from Hillside Scout Group. HRAP welcomes donations to help cover the ongoing costs of maintaining and operating the park.
Alongside its sports and community uses, the site supports local events and offers a shared outdoor space for residents and organisations. It is located at Oaktree Bank, Knayton, Thirsk, YO7 4AX
