Hot Rod Central is a family-rooted speed shop in Miami, Oklahoma, built around a multigenerational passion for hot-rodding, custom builds, and racing. Its history traces to 1955, when Tandy and Corky Allen established C&T Speed and Custom. After the shop paused, their son Colby kept cars close to his life while running Allen Sign Studio. A back-room workspace for his project cars inspired the name “Hot Rod Central.” In 2016, Colby and his son Matthew began turning the idea into a business, and the shop officially opened in July 2019.
Today, Hot Rod Central offers car parts and branded merchandise for automotive enthusiasts. Its merchandise selection includes hats, outerwear, accessories, and special offers. The business aims to provide products customers are proud to wear while helping revive car culture. Its website features shopping options as well as information about the brand’s story and work. Located at 308 E. Central Ave., the shop is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
