About 中国人权-Human Rights in China
HRIC (Human Rights in China) is a Chinese non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in 1989 by overseas Chinese students and scientists. Our mission is to promote international human rights and advocate for the institutional protection of these rights in the People's Republic of China. We actively engage in case and policy advocacy, media and press work, and capacity building.
Through our original publications and extensive translation work, HRIC provides bridges and uncensored platforms for diverse Chinese voices. We aim to raise international awareness and support for civil society activism in China. With an international office in New York and a China office in Hong Kong, we work on local, regional, and global platforms.
Our dedicated staff brings diverse expertise in Chinese and international human rights law, Chinese politics, language, and culture. We offer various resources, including advocacy tools, human rights publications, and a virtual Democracy Wall called Citizens' Square. We also have fellowship and job opportunities for individuals interested in contributing to our mission.
