As part of the largest sports association in Vorpommern, with around 2,350 members, this athletics division not only excels in local competition but also embraces athletes at all levels. Prioritizing the motto “Athletics for Everyone,” HSG Universität Greifswald offers a comprehensive range of athletic opportunities, from grassroots participation to elite competition, accommodating various age groups from preschoolers to seniors.

In addition to regular training sessions and competitive events, the department is also dedicated to hosting traditional sporting events, such as the Academic Athletics Festival and the Senior and Family Sports Festival, held seasonally.
