Humane Society of Jefferson County is a distinguished brand committed to caring for lost, homeless, and abused animals within Jefferson County, Wisconsin. Their primary mission is to find forever homes for these animals, while also striving to foster kinder and more humane communities. The society operates as an open admission shelter, meaning they accept all animals regardless of their age, health, or temperament.

While euthanasia is used as a last resort for animals suffering from severe injuries or posing a serious threat to humans, the society makes every effort to avoid this outcome. Importantly, their dedication extends to animals that may require more time to find loving homes, as the society does not impose time limits on their stay. As a private, non-profit organization, their funding relies on contracts with municipalities for stray animal pick-up, along with donations and fundraising events.

They offer various services, such as adoption, donation opportunities, volunteer programs, and educational resources to the community. Visit the Humane Society of Jefferson County's website for additional information and ways to get involved
