HSREP, or Health System Resilience and Economic Protection, is an independent public-health research and advocacy platform focused on how resilient health systems protect household finances, livelihoods, and public trust. It makes the case that health spending is economic protection, not simply a budget item, and supports its arguments with published evidence and transparent methods.
Its first season examines the United States and Bangladesh through nine articles and reports published across six outlet chapters, alongside a public record of distribution data, findings, and limitations. HSREP also convenes written roundtables where practitioners can respond to moderated questions; contributions are published with names and affiliations, and responses inform a citable synthesis.
The platform is developing the Prevention Adoption Initiative, a proposed effort to explore why recommended preventive care is not completed and how to address those gaps. Its first proposed pilot would focus on colorectal cancer screening completion at a host clinic over 12 months, with an early decision point at month three.
