The Canadian HSS Commons is a pioneering collaborative platform designed to foster research and scholarship in the Humanities and Social Sciences across Canada and internationally. Built on the principles of open knowledge sharing, this non-profit network connects researchers, educators, and scholars, allowing them to share, access, and develop a wealth of scholarly resources through its expansive repository. Users can create personal profiles, join academic associations, and connect with interest groups to enrich their collaborative efforts.

The platform also features distinct functionalities such as project workspaces, community forums, and a mechanism to upload and share original materials. In partnership with notable organizations like the Canadian Social Knowledge Institute and Compute Canada, the Commons promotes a vibrant scholarly community while ensuring user privacy, as it does not collect or sell user data. The initiative is supported by the INKE Partnership, funded through significant grants aimed at enhancing the landscape of open social scholarship and digital humanities research.
