Health and Safety

Health & Safety Training Ltd (HST) is a government-approved training provider based in Newcastle upon Tyne, serving businesses and learners across Northern England, particularly the North East. Established in 2003, the company offers more than 50 career-focused courses designed to help people gain practical skills and employers meet workplace training needs. Its programmes cover forklift trucks, mobile plant and machinery, HGV and LGV operations, cranes, access equipment, first aid, and wider health and safety topics such as manual handling, risk assessment and abrasive wheels.

Training is available at HST’s equipped Newcastle centre or on site at employers’ premises, with course content tailored to individual and business requirements. The company also offers government-funded course options and pathways in warehouse and storage, and construction plant. HST reports a 98% pass rate and says more than half of its learners gain immediate employment after training. Its experienced, directly employed instructors deliver courses under recognised awarding bodies, with successful learners receiving relevant certificates or cards.
