hsv Helpt Elkander

Hengelsportvereniging Helpt Elkander is a fishing association based in Hattem, the Netherlands. Founded on 30 June 1951 and granted royal approval in 1955, it has grown to around 1,100 members, including anglers from across the country, and maintains its own club building. The association’s motto, “Fishing is for everyone,” reflects its aim to keep recreational fishing accessible to a wide community.

Members can obtain a VISpas through the association, providing permission to fish in its attractive club waters and, subject to applicable rules, around 80 percent of Dutch inland waters. Helpt Elkander also supports access to local fishing locations, with facilities including improved banks and a renewed, enlarged fishing platform on the Hessenweg. Members may use designated club grounds in accordance with the association’s access requirements. The association shares practical notices about membership, permits, facilities and fishing opportunities, and works with other organisations on initiatives such as a limited night-fishing pilot. Through its services and local waters, Helpt Elkander helps anglers enjoy fishing responsibly in and around Hattem.
