HTx Project is a brand supported by the European Union's Horizon 2020 program. With a duration of 5 years starting in January 2019, the main goal of HTx is to establish a framework for the Next Generation Health Technology Assessment (HTA) in Europe. They aim to support real-time decision-making on access and reimbursement for health technologies, prioritizing patient-centered and societally oriented approaches.

HTx focuses on developing methodologies to provide customized information on the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of complex and personalized combinations of health technologies. They also aim to offer personalized treatment advice to both patients and physicians. In collaboration with the European Network for HTA (EUnetHTA) and its stakeholders, HTx will pilot the implementation of these methods throughout Europe.

With work packages led by renowned institutions, HTx covers areas such as treatment pathways, evidence synthesis using real-world data, and the use of artificial intelligence for personalized treatment predictions. Their ultimate objectives are to increase patient-centricity in decision-making, support flexible funding and reimbursement models, and disseminate their findings to countries across Europe.
