Camp Hudøy is Oslo Municipality’s holiday colony, welcoming generations of children since 1916. Located on Hudøy, it offers a summer holiday experience built around shared activities, friendship, and a strong sense of community. The site’s testimonials reflect the lasting memories formed by children, families, and staff, as well as its emphasis on inclusion and belonging.
The organization’s main offering is its summer programme for children, with applications handled through an online portal. Camp Hudøy also provides summer employment, describing the work as an experience that can stay with staff for life. Outside the summer holiday programme, the facilities are available for hire, with options suited to class trips, school camps, sports teams, and other associations.
The Camp Hudøy website provides practical information for visitors and applicants, including packing guidance, checklists, maps, terms, and frequently asked questions. It also shares news, brochures, songs, stories, and updates about upcoming seasons. Through its holiday programmes, jobs, and rental opportunities, Camp Hudøy serves children, families, prospective staff, and groups seeking a shared experience on the island.
