The Hürther Rudergesellschaft e.V. (HRG) is a rowing club based at Otto-Maigler-See in Hürth, Germany, welcoming people of different ages, abilities, and ambitions. It supports both competitive rowing and recreational sport, helping members find suitable crews and opportunities to train on the water. For performance-focused rowers, the club offers conditions for athletic training; recreational rowers can enjoy team boating and outings on the lake. Beginners are welcome, with introductory taster courses offered regularly during summer.
Rowing at HRG combines whole-body exercise with teamwork and time in nature. Members row in boats ranging from pairs to fours and eights, and the club highlights its community atmosphere and access to the Otto-Maigler-See, including a swimming pontoon. The association shares training schedules, safety information, news, events, and club history through its website. Members can use a club app and make bookings for internal activities such as indoor rowing. HRG also provides membership information, club clothing, photo albums, and contact details for prospective rowers.
