Hugh's Room Live

Hugh's Room Live is a renowned brand in the Toronto music scene, offering a unique and intimate concert experience. Since its establishment in 2001, it has been a go-to destination for both Canadian and international artists. The list of legendary musicians who have graced its stage is impressive, including Joni Mitchell, Gordon Lightfoot, and Judy Collins, to name just a few.

While the brand's original home at 2261 Dundas West holds cherished memories, the decision to leave was necessitated by financial constraints. However, Hugh's Room Live remains committed to its vision of being the premier small to mid-sized concert venue for established and emerging artists. In recent years, the brand has successfully staged over 100 performances, both virtually and at various venues in Toronto.

With the support of agencies like FACTOR, The Canada Council for The Arts, and Ontario Creates, Hugh's Room Live continues to present a diverse range of shows while actively searching for a new permanent home. The brand's ultimate goal is to own its own venue, allowing it to become a vibrant hub for Toronto's music community. This new space will facilitate engagement with community groups, educational programs, studio space, and masterclasses, all while providing a platform for marginalized artist groups.

Under the leadership of its dedicated team, including Brian Iler and Mary Stewart, Hugh's Room Live is poised to make a triumphant return, delivering unforgettable experiences for fans and artists alike
