Hug My Hair is a natural hair care brand founded by Dalilah Baruti, a twenty-something year old Tanzanian-born, Hijabi natural hair enthusiast based in London. With a hair type of 4C, Dalilah knows the struggles that come with having coily and afro hair and has made it her mission to provide products that nourish and care for these hair types.

After years of attempting to achieve the look of European hair with relaxers, Dalilah realized the damage it was causing and decided to embrace her natural hair. Through extensive research, she discovered the importance of moisture retention, avoiding chemical-laden products, and cultivating a healthy scalp.

This led to the creation of the Hug My Hair product line, starting with the Vintage product. The Vintage hair care line incorporates Lavender and Rosemary Essential oils, Virgin Coconut, Virgin Avocado, and Virgin Olive oils to promote hair growth, retain moisture, and reduce dandruff. All products use unrefined organic and fair-trade Shea butter as a main ingredient to seal in moisture and protect the hair from further damage.
