Human Coop

Human Coop, CRL is a non-profit cooperative for social solidarity, culture and services, founded in November 2019 by three professionals in social and human sciences and health. Based in Abrantes, Portugal, it connects people through dance, psychomotricity, neuropsychology and social education, offering innovative activities adapted to different needs and life stages.

Its work focuses on aging, childhood and youth, and training. Senior Dance® offers standing and circle dances for more active older adults, as well as seated sessions for people with some motor impairment. The cooperative also provides Mind Academy and other activities for seniors, cognitive stimulation, and intervention in dementia. For children and young people, it offers dedicated activities, alongside training services.

Human Coop’s approach combines movement, social connection and cognitive engagement to support participation and active aging. Its projects include initiatives developed with European partners, and it organizes opportunities for seniors from its academies to meet through dance events. The cooperative serves communities across several municipalities and works to make its activities accessible and responsive to participants’ abilities.
