About Humanitarian Coalition
The Humanitarian Coalition is a powerful collaboration of 12 Canadian international aid agencies that join forces to respond effectively to global disasters. With a widespread presence in 140 countries, they have the unique ability to quickly provide assistance during large-scale catastrophes, as well as smaller, under-reported disasters. The coalition is made up of trusted and respected Canadian humanitarian organizations that meet strict quality standards and requirements.
When a disaster strikes, only members who are already working in or have partners near the affected areas receive funds. In fact, a minimum of 85% of the appeal revenue is directly spent on the emergency response and helping survivors rebuild their lives. The members of the Humanitarian Coalition are dedicated to upholding Codes of Conduct and International Standards, ensuring excellence and accountability in their programs.
