Humanity for Horses Foundation is a dedicated non-profit organization situated on Vancouver Island, passionately working to save and protect horses since its establishment in 2015. With a mission to rescue horses from the dire fate of slaughter, the foundation has successfully rescued over 630 horses, providing them a safe haven. Currently, they have numerous horses available for adoption, as well as some permanent residents who require ongoing care due to health or age challenges.

The foundation emphasizes community involvement through various initiatives, including the popular “Hay Day” each Friday, where supporters contribute to the essential hay fund. They welcome donations of any size, fostering a sense of community support in their mission. In addition to adoption services, the Humanity for Horses Foundation offers a variety of ways for the public to engage, such as sponsoring horses, volunteering opportunities, and fundraising events.
