Human Security Gateway

Human Security Gateway is an innovative online platform dedicated to the concept of human security, emphasizing the protection of individuals over traditional national security measures. Established as part of the Human Security Report Project, this resource aims to illuminate crucial threats to individuals and society arising from violence, particularly in the context of civil wars and government actions.

The Gateway serves as a comprehensive, searchable database that houses a wealth of human security-related resources, including reports, journal articles, and news items. Its mission is to facilitate access to vital research for policy-makers, journalists, educators, and the general public, enriching their understanding of these critical issues.

By aligning with the foundational principles laid out by the United Nations Development Programme in its 1994 Human Development Report, the Human Security Gateway strives to foster awareness and promote discussions surrounding the intricate relationship between individual protection and broader societal stability.
