About Humans For Humanity
Humans for Humanity (HFH) is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization founded by social worker Anurag Chauhan and formally registered in 2014. Working to support underserved communities, the organization focuses on dignity, opportunity, and empowerment, particularly for women and people from lower sections of society. Its work includes providing sanitation and hygiene products to menstruators, raising awareness about menstrual health, promoting women’s nutrition, and conducting therapy and listening circles.
HFH’s pilot initiative is its WASH project, launched in 2015. The organization has also run campaigns to challenge menstrual stigma, including “Breaking the Bloody Taboo” and the “Red Cloth Campaign. ” Its other areas of work include employment generation, the Kathputli project, and promoting Indian art and culture.
HFH describes its broader impact as empowering communities financially, children academically, and young people to act independently. The organization invites people to volunteer, partner, donate, and follow its work through its projects, resources, news, and events. Its core team includes directors responsible for research and analysis, creative work, and organizational leadership
