HUNDSECK

Bühlertallift Hundseck is a family-friendly winter sports destination on the Schwarzwaldhochstraße, located directly beside the B500. Its double ski lift serves two runs, each 560 metres long, including two varied forest descents. A snowmaking system helps provide more reliable skiing conditions, and floodlit evening operation is available Monday to Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., when snow conditions permit.

Visitors can rent ski equipment at the lift’s base station, though the facility does not accept reservations. The nearby Hundshütte offers a place to stop for refreshments, and a large parking area is located beside the slope. There is also a separate sledding hill of approximately 110 metres, with access to public transport. Sledding is not permitted on the ski slope or forest runs, whether the lifts are operating or not; sledders are asked to use the designated side hill. Opening hours depend on sufficient snow: Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays and public holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
