Hunter’s Moon Stables is an equestrian training and lesson facility serving the Sacramento, California area. Led by trainer Chris O’Brien, a lifelong horsewoman with more than three decades of experience, the stable welcomes riders of all ages and abilities, from toddlers and beginners to advanced students and competitors. Its specialties are hunters, jumpers, and hunt seat equitation, with instruction, training, and horsemanship services tailored to different goals and experience levels.

Riders range from serious competitors to horse owners who simply want to enjoy their time with horses. The program includes lessons for children and adults, with an emphasis on building confidence in both horse and rider. Safety and enjoyment are priorities, and the stable describes its approach as supportive and encouraging.

Chris has trained, instructed, and shown at all levels and is a member of SAHJA and USEF. Hunter’s Moon Stables also notes numerous medal finalists, offers discounts on lesson packages, and shares information through its gallery, news, and community links
