Associação Portuguesa dos Doentes de Huntington (APDH) is a Portuguese social solidarity institution (IPSS), established in 2003 by people affected by Huntington’s disease and their family members. The association was created in response to the isolation and uncertainty families can face after a diagnosis of this rare, progressive, hereditary neurological condition. Its work focuses on providing information, support and a sense of community for people with Huntington’s disease, those at risk, caregivers and relatives.
