Huon Women's Health Collective

Huon Women’s Health Collective is a not-for-profit association supporting women in Southern Tasmania, with a focus on the Huon Valley and surrounding communities. Its mission is to improve access to health services, strengthen health literacy, and promote overall wellness so women can thrive. The collective works toward a future in which women feel respected, understood, valued, informed, connected, and empowered.

Its activities include community events and wellbeing programs, such as Well Women Workshops, Rural Women’s Mental Health Day, Birthing The Mother, and the Inaugural Wellness Festival 2025. The organisation also invites people to become members and welcomes project submissions, supporting opportunities for community participation and connection. Through health advocacy and inclusive community spaces, it aims to support women’s wellbeing while affirming diverse identities and experiences. The collective welcomes cis and trans women, non-binary and gender-diverse individuals, and intersex people to its membership, events, programs, and leadership spaces. It acknowledges the Melukerdee and Lyluequonny people of the South East Nation as Traditional Custodians of the land.
