Hurricane Cards makes playing cards designed for outdoor settings where ordinary decks can be blown away or damaged by moisture. Its featured product, Hurricane Cards, is a windproof and waterproof deck intended for use at the beach, pool, park, or on a boat. Made of plastic, the cards resist water and common spills such as soda and beer, and can be washed and dried if they get dirty.
They are four times heavier than standard playing cards, while remaining comfortable to hold for a full game. Each deck includes 54 cards: all four suits from ace through king, plus two Hurricane Jokers. The cards measure 2.
2 by 3. 4 inches, slightly smaller than standard playing cards, and are about as thick individually as a credit card. A redesigned case has one side for holding the deck and another for discarded or unused cards.
