Hamilton University is a developing medical education institution in the Turks and Caicos Islands, focused on preparing healthcare professionals for the Caribbean and the wider global community. Its mission is to provide innovative, technology-driven, community-focused education grounded in collaborative, evidence-based research. The university aims to develop ethical, patient-centered physician leaders who advance health equity and public health.

Hamilton’s plans center on medical education, with a School of Medicine and a Medical Center included in a five-storey campus complex now under construction. The first administrative building phase is complete, and work on the academic center is underway, with campus completion targeted for early 2027. Students are intended to benefit from early clinical exposure through local partnerships with the Ministry of Health, TCI Hospital, private clinics, and the Turks and Caicos Islands Community College. International collaborations are planned to support research, exchanges, visiting faculty, and clinical placements. Hamilton holds a provisional license from the TCI higher education authority and has submitted an application for CAAM-HP accreditation candidacy.
