Halmstad University Solar Team (HUST) is a non-profit association with a simple goal - To develop the most efficient and innovative solar car and participate in the Bridgestone World Solar Team 2027 in Australia! The team consists of 40 students from Halmstad University and the project members are divided into three different teams; marketing & sponsor, electrical and mechanical. About Halmstad University Solar Team
HUST, short for Halmstad University Solar Team, is a student-driven, non-profit organization based in Halmstad, Sweden. Dedicated to creating a sustainable future for the automotive industry, HUST is developing a solar-driven racing car to compete in the prestigious Bridgestone World Solar Challenge. This challenging race will see teams from 35 nations race 3000 km through the picturesque Australian countryside from Darwin to Adelaide.
With a vision to win the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge, HUST utilizes creativity, innovation, and unwavering dedication. In 2023, HUST is back with a new team and their third-generation solar-driven racing car. They are pumped and ready to tackle the biggest competition in solar racing.
As the pandemic restrictions ease, HUST has begun the 22/23 project with exciting new elements. Their aim is to expand their reach by participating in electric, solar, and future-focused events, and to coordinate their own events with partners to strengthen bonds within the community. With the expertise gained from previous projects and the addition of new members and innovative minds, HUST is confident that their new car will surpass all expectations.
