Handwerkskammer Mannheim Rhein-Neckar-Odenwald

The Mannheim Rhine-Neckar-Odenwald Chamber of Skilled Crafts represents the interests of craft businesses across its region and supports employers, apprentices, and people pursuing careers in the trades. Its services span vocational training, business advice, professional development, and initiatives that encourage innovation and strengthen the future of the skilled-crafts sector.

The Chamber helps young people explore career options and find apprenticeships, while supporting businesses with apprenticeship administration, recruitment, and workforce development. Its Bildungsakademie offers practical training, continuing education, courses, and seminars, including preparation for advanced qualifications such as the master craftsperson credential. Entrepreneurs can also access guidance on starting, financing, managing, or transferring a business.

Specialist advice covers areas including employment and health protection, law, energy and the environment, technology and innovation, international trade, mediation, and professional recognition. The Chamber also provides resources such as a business succession exchange, directories for finding tradespeople and expert assessors, and information for consumers. Through its regional “Das isses!” campaign, it promotes apprenticeships and aims to inspire more young people to enter the crafts.
