Hydra Energy

Hydra Energy is a clean-transportation company and pioneer of Hydrogen-as-a-Service (HaaS™), helping commercial fleets reduce emissions and fuel costs while limiting the risks of adopting hydrogen. The company connects low-carbon hydrogen suppliers with fleet operators, supporting the development of hydrogen markets and providing fleets with reliable, long-term access to local fuel.

Hydra’s core technology enables diesel engines to use hydrogen and diesel together through a hydrogen-diesel co-combustion system. Its retrofit solution is designed for heavy-duty trucks and is available for use today. Hydra reports more than 300,000 kilometres of on-road testing in challenging road and climate conditions. The company says its approach can reduce emissions by up to 40% per truck, while allowing vehicles to transition seamlessly between hydrogen and diesel and helping operators maintain performance and fuel efficiency.

Hydra also works with partners on hydrogen supply, technology development, installation, and fleet deployment. Its services are intended to help trucking businesses meet sustainability requirements, access cleaner fuel, and decarbonize existing vehicles without waiting to replace their fleets.
