Hymenoptera

Hymenoptera is an ecological gardening and biodiversity initiative based in Obersteinbach, France. Founded by Sébastien, a permaculturist with a lifelong interest in insects, it promotes gardens that support pollinators and other wildlife through healthy, environmentally conscious practices. Its services include personalized coaching, with advice tailored to each garden’s terrain and focused on making it more attractive to fauna. Hymenoptera also organizes guided educational visits in French and German, by appointment on weekends from April to October, as well as conferences for municipalities, associations, schools and businesses interested in practical ways to create biodiversity-friendly spaces.

The project’s approach is illustrated by a garden designed to welcome wild bees and other insects, with varied habitats and features such as insect hotels. Visitors can learn to identify plants and insects and understand how different garden environments contribute to ecological balance. Hymenoptera shares practical ideas and updates through its website, including information on garden projects, insect species and upcoming talks.
