HypnoNaissance Canada offers education and support for expectant parents through HypnoNaissance®, the Mongan Method, a childbirth preparation approach that teaches relaxation, breathing, visualization and other techniques intended to encourage a calm, natural birth. Its five-week course combines practical exercises, guidance and information to help parents prepare for pregnancy, labour and welcoming their baby. Group and private classes are available online through Zoom, with sessions lasting two and a half hours; the website lists a total course fee of CAD 445 and asks prospective students to contact the team for upcoming dates and times. Instruction is offered in both French and English.
The program is led by Ilona Fritsch, who trained with HypnoBirthing® founder Marie Mongan and introduced the method to Canada. Her background includes complementary health, hypnosis, perinatal education, doula practice and fertility consulting. In addition to teaching parents, Ilona provides practitioner training for people seeking to establish their own HypnoNaissance® practice, with courses offered in Canada and Europe.
