The organization supports people affected by this rare condition, which involves insufficient production or effect of parathyroid hormone and can lead to low blood calcium. Because the disease is little known and many doctors have limited clinical experience with it, patients may struggle to find reliable information and feel isolated.
The association aims to connect patients, provide practical information and advice, raise awareness, and advocate for better medical care. Its resources include explanations of causes, symptoms and treatment; brochures and treatment guidelines; information about patient studies; presentations; patient stories; and tools such as an emergency card and symptom survey.
