Hyre is a car-sharing and rental service that lets customers book and access vehicles through its mobile app. Operating in Norwegian cities including Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger and Haugesund, as well as at Oslo, Bergen and Trondheim airports, Hyre offers cars and vans for hourly or daily rental. Customers register using BankID, choose an available vehicle and unlock it with their phone, without collecting a physical key or waiting at a counter. Rentals include insurance and 150 kilometres per day; additional kilometres, tolls and fuel are charged separately, with costs calculated and presented at the end of the trip.

The fleet includes compact city cars, family cars, electric vehicles, SUVs and vans. For frequent renters, Hyre Pass offers discounts for a monthly fee. Businesses can use company accounts or a Mobility Plan to give employees access to vehicles and manage rental costs, tolls and mileage. The app also integrates parking and charges for fuel or electric charging.
