Hyzer's in Grand Rapids

Hyzer’s is a locally owned disc golf and head shop serving Standale, Walker, and the wider Grand Rapids, Michigan region. Opened in 2011 by former Grand Valley State University alumni, the shop aims to promote and support disc golf while offering a range of related products and services. Its disc golf pro shop carries new and used discs, including custom hot-stamped and dyed options.

Customers can order custom disc dyeing in store, browse featured designs, and practice putting at the indoor SkillShot setup. Hyzer’s also sells head shop merchandise and locally made artisan goods, with offerings that include glass pipes and water pipes, herbs, detox products, tapestries, apparel, gifts, jewelry, decals, incense, and handmade lotion and soap. The store has also carried officially licensed merchandise featuring artists such as Bob Marley, the Grateful Dead, and Pink Floyd.

Beyond retail, Hyzer’s has organized and supported local disc golf events, including a benefit tournament for improvements at Johnson Park, and shares updates about the area’s disc golf, music, and culture scenes
