I-NERGY is a European research and innovation project focused on applying artificial intelligence to the energy sector. Its vision is to reinforce the service layer of the AI-on-Demand platform and support the development of next-generation energy services. The initiative brings together 17 partners across nine countries and works through nine pilot hubs and two test-beds, connecting expertise in AI, energy, and digital infrastructure.

I-NERGY develops and promotes AI-based tools and services for energy applications, alongside a reference architecture for delivering these services. Its work includes solutions such as an Energy Efficiency Investment Derisking service, and it shares project results through publications, technical resources, blogs, newsletters, and community events. The project also supports technology transfer and encourages organisations, including small and medium-sized enterprises, to explore AI adoption. Through open calls, pilots, and collaboration with related European initiatives, I-NERGY contributes to the wider AI ecosystem and the AI-on-Demand community. Its activities bring together researchers, businesses, and energy stakeholders to advance practical, data-driven approaches to energy challenges.
